Image result for 65,000 advts removed from govt propertyChandigarh: The Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Aggarwal, said that in compliance to the EC instructions, 65,146 wall writings, posters, papers cutouts or hoardings, banners, flags and others types have been removed from government property. Aggarwal said 4,964 wall writings, 17,553 posters, 7,543 papers of defacement in any form, 1,833 cut-outs, 12,061 hoardings, 11,837 banners, 3,296 flags and 6,059 other forms of defacement, have been removed within 24 hours of the announcement of elections. He said all unauthorised political advertisement, in the form of wall writings, posters, papers of defacement in any other form, cutouts or hoardings, banners and flags at public property and in public spaces such as railway station, bus stands, airports, railway bridges, roadways, government buses, electric or telephone poles and MC buildings would be removed within 48 hours of the announcement of elections.
